Five people drowned in the Crimea during the past day, three were saved. This is reported by RIA Crimea with reference to the press service of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the region. According to the source, four died while swimming in the sea, in the Simferopol district, another person drowned in a pond in the village of Bakhchisaray district. In total for the past June at the resorts of the peninsula, 11 people died, including 1 child, 14 others were saved, the website of the department.
Rescuers emphasize that accidents on the water most often occur on unequipped wild beaches, and also because tourists violate basic safety rules during bathing. So, it is strictly forbidden to enter the water in a state of intoxication and not to watch children playing at the sea. "Disregarding the elementary rules of security, people find themselves in difficult situations, the consequences of which are tragic," warn rescuers of all who do not want to rest in the Crimea, marred by accidents.
