On Sunday, June 10, a large-scale fire broke out in the premises of the German automaker BMW in the city of Landshut.
According to the local newspaper Passauer Neue Presse, the fire began with a room containing magnesium products.
According to the version of law enforcement bodies, because of high pressure, the casting machine overheated.
As a result of severe smoke, one of the employees of the concern lost consciousness and was later hospitalized. Two more people and a firefighter were injured.
It is noted that at the moment there are still clouds of smoke rising over the plant, and the local authorities urged residents of Landshut to tightly close the windows and doors of residential buildings.
Due to a fire at the car factory, the train traffic between the Vert-en-der-Isar and Landshut has been suspended.
