Security Service of Ukraine conducted a search of the bank cell of the head of the portal "RIA Novosti-Ukraine" Kirill Vyshinsky, against which a criminal case was instituted against the state treason.

In the cell were found "an object that looks like a pistol" Browning 1906 "and more than 200 thousand dollars, said the SBU. Employees of the agency also found in it a labor agreement Vyshinsky with MIA "Russia Today" to guide the Ukrainian agency representation.

Kirill Vyshinsky was detained in Kiev on May 15, the same day a criminal case was brought against him about the state treason. Vyshinsky himself denies the blame, he asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to help with the release and promised to give up Ukrainian citizenship.

Russia sent a note of protest to Ukraine. Because of Vyshinsky's arrest in the Russian Federation, criminal proceedings were instituted to obstruct the lawful activity of a journalist and to bring a knowingly innocent person to criminal liability.
