Foreign Ministry: Ukrainians were not among the victims of the attack on passers-by in Paris

According to preliminary information, Ukrainian citizens were not among the victims of the attack with a knife on passers-by in a street in Paris yesterday late at night. This was reported to UNN by Deputy Director of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Head of the Consular Activity Department Vasily Kirilich.

"According to preliminary information, no (there were no citizens of the Ukrainian among the victims in Paris as a result of the attack of an unknown with a knife on passers-by - eds. ) ", he noted.

Recall that on May 12 in the evening an unknown man attacked on Saturday night on passers-by in a street in the center of Paris, as a result of which one passer-by died, another eight were injured. Killed and attacking, which opened fire patrol policeman.



The incident occurred around 21:30 (22:30 in Kyiv) on Monsigny Street in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, not far from the building of the Paris Opera and the prestigious neighborhoods around Vendome Square. According to the first data, an attacker armed with a knife arranged "disorderly slaughter", striking passers-by. As a result of his actions, "eight people were injured, two died, including the attacker". The police of the municipal police who happened to be nearby.
