On May 9 at about 9:30 near Tank on the avenue of Dmitry Yavornytsky events commemorating the Victory Day. The active participants in the action were representatives of the banned organization of the Union of Soviet Officers.

Earlier it was reported that the police had forbidden the "Union of Soviet Officers" to lay a wreath in the form of a star to the monument to General Pushkin. This outraged Victor Marchenko, the head of a public organization that was banned in court. And he began to talk to those who came about "lawlessness" in the police. This is reported by the Informant.

After lengthy sayings, "Soviet officers" with their like-minded people decided in spite of everything to put the "star" to the monument. They blocked the way police officers, to which Victor Marchenko threatened to block the avenue.

The latter began to furiously support the grandmothers with flowers that surrounded the patrol. Despite the attempts of the policemen to solve everything peacefully, the crowd only became more aggressive. As a result, there was a scuffle, elderly women attacked patrolmen, and, covering those obscene language, helped the "officers" carry a wreath to the tank.

After achieving their goal, the protesters went to the monument to Glory.
