According to Tadlock, none of Delta employees warned her about the need to eat fruit before leaving the plane. And the agent, to whom she showed a transparent bag with the airline logo, said that there are no guarantees that she did not report her apple there. "It's unpleasant when a person has to feel like a criminal because of some fruit," added the American.

As noted by the CNN channel, according to the US customs regulations, international flights passengers are required to declare any fresh fruit before the flight, otherwise they will be fined.

In Delta explained that the rules of transportation clearly spelled out points about fruits and other products, and passengers were asked to eat fruit before leaving the plane.

The US customs officials noted that restrictions exist for a long time, undeclared fruits are disposed of, and passengers are threatened with fines of up to a thousand dollars.

Despite the response of the airline and authorities, Tadlok intends to appeal a fine that must be paid within 12 days. She is sure that the employee behaved too rudely, and at the airport there were no warnings about fresh fruit. Also, the American wants to return to its Global Entry status, which cost $ 160.
