The sewing shop for the manufacture of counterfeit textile products was discovered by the employees of the special police department of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Kharkov region. Illegal business was practiced by citizens of the Republic of Vietnam.

Operational and investigative actions were carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings opened on h. 3 items. 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement of property or occupation by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

"During the authorized search, the police seized sewing equipment, equipment for putting on the clothes logotypes of well-known brands and manufactured counterfeit textile products, which was prepared for implementation," reads the message of the State Institution of the National Police.

At present, the question of opening a criminal proceeding under article. 229 (illegal use of the mark for goods and services, brand name, qualified indication of the origin of the goods) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The maximum penalty for committing such crimes is up to eight years of imprisonment.
