As a result of the crash of the An-26 transport plane in Syria, 39 people were killed - 33 passengers and six crew members. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia. All those who died were servicemen.

The Ministry of Defense previously reported 32 victims of the disaster.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense informed about the plane crash. The department added that the aircraft was not shot down.
