Most regions of Ukraine on 1 March fell asleep with snow because of what in some regions massively prohibit movement along the routes.

The snowstorms, which began on the evening of February 28, temporarily stopped at night, but several hours were enough for the east and south of the country to be covered with snow.

In Kharkov for the night fell to 30 cm of snow:.

In Odessa, a strong wind formed drifts on the roads.

Up to 20 centimeters in Dnepropetrovsk. From the snowdrifts, the emergency workers had to pull out cars.

At the entrance to the Dnieper, because of a large layer of snow and a slippery road, the waggons were massively tossed - they were banned from entering the city the day before.

The blizzard came to the center of the country. From midnight snow falls snow Kiev. And, according to forecasts of weather forecasters, the snow will not abate the whole day.

As early as Thursday morning, the capital was paralyzed by 9-ball traffic jams.

The communal workers have already driven trucks to the roads to pull out cars that can not cope with the ice cover. At the entrances to the capital formed a huge traffic jams, in particular from the direction of Boryspil.

There is also a ban on the entry of trucks to Kiev. Therefore, they stopped in kilometer queues in front of the city.

Also, the State Service for Emergencies stated that there are restrictions on traffic in a number of areas.

In particular, to ensure the clearing of roads and cities from snow, the entry of large-sized transport to Kiev, Dnieper, Zaporozhye, Kropivnitsky, Kremenchug, Mykolayiv, Odessa, Kherson and some parts of the roads of Zaporozhye, Odessa, Mykolayiv and Kiev regions was restricted.

Airports as of 8. 00 are operating in normal mode.

Due to increased winds, pilotage of vessels in Mariupol, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson and Yuzhnensky seaports is limited.

Due to the complication of weather conditions (heavy snow, gusts of wind) due to the operation of the automatic transmission line protection system, 174 settlements were de-energized in ten regions: Donetsk - 42, Cherkassy - 23, Mykolayiv - 23, Odessa - 20, Dnepropetrovsk - 16, Kharkov - 15, Kherson - 13, Zaporozhye - 9, Sumy - 8 and Kyiv - 5.

Meanwhile, the thermal mains do not withstand fierce cold weather and gusts occur.

In particular, yesterday this happened in Yuzhnoukrainsk on Mykolaiv region, where a heating pipeline with a diameter of 500 mm broke through. Because of this, without heat supply, there were 11 multi-storey and 276 private houses.

There was also a gust of the main pipeline 400 mm in diameter in the boiler room in Zaporozhye. Without heat supply, there were 490 high-rise buildings, 10 medical institutions (one of them is a hospital), nine schools, eight kindergartens.
