At least 73 people were injured. According to the NHK television channel, the most common cause of injuries was a fall from the roof during the harvesting of snow.

According to journalists in Fukui Prefecture, a 68-year-old man died precisely for this reason.

Another man died of myocardial infarction also after harvesting snow. Three more died from carbon monoxide poisoning, which is believed to have been caused by the exhaust pipes of their cars being clogged with snow.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in the Japanese prefecture of Fukui on Wednesday, February 7, passed the most powerful snowfalls since 1981. Bad weather has already led to the death of one person. According to preliminary data, carbon monoxide poisoning is considered the cause of death.

The man fell asleep in the car with the engine turned on, as he froze, and the snow blocked the exhaust pipe. In the same prefecture due to snowfall on the motorway were found blocked 1500 cars. In connection with the weather, local authorities had to close many roads for travel.
