The incident occurred in the village of Berezinka in the Mukacheve district of the Transcarpathian region. According to preliminary information, the woman inflicted several knife strikes a two-year-old girl and her father, who at this time was at home in the absence of a woman's husband. He also delivered the lifeless body of the child to the hospital, but doctors already on the spot ascertained the death of the baby, a 50-year-old man underwent surgery.

Upon arrival, not the scene of the accident, law enforcement officers found a grieving mother who herself was trying to settle scores with life, but she was provided with medical care, the woman survived.
