The incident occurred in the province of Kahramanmarash in southern Turkey. According to law enforcement officers, the minibus was moving along the road of two-way traffic when he decided to overtake the car and drove to the oncoming lane at the turn on which the cargo van was moving.

As a result of the incident, nine people were killed, four of them are small children under the age of 13. Four more people were hospitalized and are now in the intensive care unit.

Both drivers of their vehicles died on the spot.

Emergency cars and fire fighters arrived at the scene of the accident. Part of the minibus caught fire, the fire was eliminated within five minutes. Movement on one of the bands is temporarily blocked.
