A sailor of a tourist boat on the island of Phuket in Thailand attacked a Ukrainian tourist with a knife, the newspaper The Phuket News.

According to the publication, 24-year-old Vitaly Kuzmichev unflatteringly spoke about the parents of the 25-year-old Tanakorn Saechan during the voyage, after which the Thai struck the tourist with a knife in his left hand.

As soon as the boat landed on the shore, the Thai escaped, and the Ukrainian tourist was sent to a local hospital. The investigation of the incident was taken by the police of Phuket.

"The police suspect that there could be a misunderstanding due to the language barrier. One way or another, Saechan came with the guilt, he was charged with inflicting bodily injuries on the Ukrainian tourist, "- concludes the newspaper.
