The largest party of drugs in the history of the island was seized on one of the fishing boats in the port of Kaohsiung City. As stated on the website of the city prosecutor's office, the anti-drug department staff investigated for several weeks.

After they received information that a large drug syndicate had begun to supply drugs to Taiwan through the port of Kaohsiung City, law enforcement officers began to monitor the port.

A ship called Sheng Li Man, on which banned substances were found, has been under police surveillance since January, as it has been extremely rarely used for fishing. Last weekend, the ship went to sea, and after some time reported a breakdown at the coral island of Xiaoluqiu, then the second vessel was sent to help him. Police searched both boats after returning to port.

Law enforcement officers found 126 black plastic bags hidden under the refrigerating chamber of the ship during the search.

According to preliminary estimates by the police, the cost of the batch is about $ 102 million.

The captain of the ship named Chen was detained, and five fishermen with Indonesian passports were sent to the agency that hired them, where they are currently in custody.
