According to preliminary information, the shooter himself surrendered to law enforcers. Policemen detained a man on one of the monuments of the city, when he waved the Italian flag and shouted slogans - "Freedom of Italy". Next to him were found and his car, where there was a pair of pistols and cartridges to them. The detainee turned out to be a citizen of Italy.

During the interrogation, the man confessed that he had fired at several frequent cities. Doctors reported that they were approached by about ten people with various injuries, six of them are currently in serious condition. The man commented on his actions by showing patriotism to his homeland.

Local authorities urged residents to return to their cases.
