It is reported that the fire on the positions of Ukrainian military led from the Donetsk region near Yasinovatoy two kilometers from the line of demarcation. The official report says that the five mission members heard a whistle of bullets over their heads that flew from west to east, and saw that one of the bullets hit 10-15 meters east of them. As a result of the bombardment, none of the foreign observers were injured.

The SMM mission quickly retreated to its base in Donetsk, where it fixed the number and direction of the shelling.
