The water in the river rose to a mark of 5.84 meters. According to the French edition of Le Figaro, this is four meters above the norm. At the same time, the maximum indicator was registered in June 2016, when the water reached a level of 6.10 meters.

The publication also reports that this morning the roads along the waterfront in Paris remain flooded, and the transport department closed until February 5 seven metro stations in the city center.

At the same time weather forecasters expect that from now on the water will decline.

Recall, the historical maximum in the Seine at 8.62 meters was recorded more than a hundred years ago - in 1910.

As reported URA-Inform, yesterday because of the flood in Paris, evacuated 1500 people. In addition, 1,400 homes are deprived of electricity, 700 houses were left without gas. Rescue services provided de-energized houses with generators.
