The incident occurred on Novoselskogo Street. A man from a quick-fire rifle from the window of his apartment started shooting at passers-by and elderly people who were at the house's entrance. On the scene of the incident within 15 minutes came the special forces - the unit KORD. At attempt of its detention the malefactor has rendered armed resistance and has opened on policemen fire from the gun.

As a result of the shooting, five people were injured: three law enforcers were hospitalized with severe wounds, one eyewitness and random passers-by. At the moment it is known that one Ukrainian policeman died in intensive care.

A drunken shooter was detained, he faces 15 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony.
