About the fire, the rescuers were informed by an occasional passer-by who saw smoke coming out of the windows of the dormitory building of the Sumy State University. Fortunately, none of the students were hurt.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out in a nine-story building on Zamostyanskaya Street about two o'clock in the afternoon.

At the same time, before the arrival of firefighters, the hostel evacuated 45 students from the building.

Already at the site of the firefighters found that the fire is in one of the rooms on the seventh floor. In addition, there was a threat of spreading fire to the rest of the floors.

Rescuers were able in the shortest time to completely eliminate the fire by forces of 18 people and five units of special equipment. At the same time the fire managed to destroy household things, facing the walls, ceiling and floor of the room. Now the police determine the causes of the fire.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in the village Vilshana Sumy region there was a clash involving two vehicles. As a result of the incident, five passengers of the minibus were injured.
