This topic was discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission for Technological Security and Emergencies with the chairmen of regional administrations and heads of relevant services chaired by Gennady Zubko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine. The meeting participants discussed the deterioration of weather conditions in a number of regions of Ukraine and developed a plan of measures to eliminate the consequences of a possible disaster.
As the deputy head of the Kharkov mayor for housing and communal services Andrei Rudenko, municipal utilities in the case of snowfall are fully ready for snow cleaning.
"To date, more than 150 units of equipment have been prepared only for intra-quarter roads, 238 for road and highway cleaning. There is a sufficient amount of sand-salt mixture. We are ready for any element and are now working on preemption. I see no reason for concern and I am confident that we will cope with the snow, "- said Andrei Rudenko.
