According to the press secretary of Sverdlovsk police Valery Gorelykh, an alarming message about illegal hunting in 2 km from the village of Atigig arrived in the duty part of the territorial department of internal affairs from the regional department of state supervision, protection and use of wildlife. The scene of the accident was a police investigation group. The detectives split into two groups to act for certain and not to miss the poacher. Part went to the forest, while others ambushed near his car.

The poacher was a local resident born in 1980, previously not convicted, a laborer of a cattle-breeding farm. The man has a hunting ticket and officially registered IZH-58 16 caliber.

The detainee at the interrogation explained that on that morning he intended to present his family for the New Year a gift in the form of a large amount of fresh meat. The damage caused by the actions of the suspect to the state amounted to more than 120 thousand rubles, "- said Colonel Gorelykh.

Article 258 of the Criminal Code - illegal hunting - provides for punishment in the form of arrest for up to six months or correctional labor for up to two years.
