It is reported that along the line of delineation, several shellings were fired from small arms in the Novolugansk area. Ukrainian servicemen did not open fire in response. The headquarters also reported on the situation along the entire front line on the night of the seventh of January, there were no violations of the silence regime.

However, the military maintains that despite the agreements reached on the New Year-Christmas truce, the militants continue provocations on the Donetsk and Lugansk directions daily.

It is noteworthy that last year also it was announced about a temporary truce for the holidays and then it lasted seven days. This year there was not a single day without shelling on the positions of the Ukrainian military from the side of ORDLO.
