December 22, early in the morning in the town of Yuryevets, Ivanovo region, a part of the entrance of a five-story 33-A apartment house on Pushkin Street collapsed. And it was only by a lucky chance that there were no numerous victims and victims - one of the tenants of the ill-fated section woke up from a loud crash and saw a crack in the wall. The man quickly realized that something terrible was happening and rushed to wake up all the neighbors.

More than 50 people managed to leave the house, the entire section from the first to the fifth floor collapsed. The regional prosecutor's office says that the condition of the house itself was good, and the collapse was due to the undermining of the foundation by groundwater. It is known that cracks in the walls of the house were formed much earlier, the tenants of the house turned to the management company in September about this. Work was even carried out to strengthen the load-bearing structures of the two-entrance 40-apartment building. In addition, repairs were made to the porches with the replacement of windows with plastic ones.

Of the 78 evacuated residents of the house, 33 people were accommodated in the dormitory of the Yurievets Agricultural College, the rest moved to their relatives. People in the temporary accommodation are provided with everything necessary. Around the ruined house is a cordon, the analysis of the debris is completed. There were no people under the rubble.

The rest of the building was inspected for stability with the help of the "Struna" complex. As the inspection showed, the building is not suitable for further living.

Upon the collapse of part of the house entrance, the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Carrying out work or rendering services that do not meet the safety or consumer safety standards".
