The police found a husband, wife and their 23-year-old son in their own house, located in the territory under Ukraine's control. They were all bound and dead, and before their death, they were most likely tortured, as traces of cut wounds were found on the body.
According to the neighbors, Valery Shira was the chairman of the Velikonavoselkovskaya district administration, and also a close friend of Yanukovych. He himself now lives in Donetsk, on an uncontrolled territory.
In the house were found the bodies of his daughter, her husband and sons. At the same time, opinions of local residents about the motives of the crime diverge. Some say that Shira's family lived in a good house by local standards, and they had "what to take". Shira's son-in-law was a large farmer.
Other residents questioned by the Great Novoselok believe that it could be revenge against the family of a prominent "regional".
The police still do not comment.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, unknown persons staged an arson car judge of the Appeal Court of the Kharkiv region. Attackers infiltrated the courtyard of the private house of the judge, after which they set fire to his Volkswagen Passat B7. Auto eventually burned down completely.
