As a result of the incident, at least three people were killed. Another 13 people were injured.

Among the injured seven students, one military, one policeman, security guard and journalist. According to the publication Dawn, the attackers were four.

They were all wearing masks. Bandits broke into the campus, and opened fire at the students. From the street there was also heard the sound of shooting and individual explosions.

Soon after the incident occurred, the police and army units arrived. Law enforcers eliminated all four of the attackers.

Responsibility for the attack was taken by militants of the Pakistani wing of the terrorist Taliban-Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
