The Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kharkov denied the prosecutor the satisfaction of the petition for dismissal of the rector of the Kharkov National University of the Air Force of Ukraine Andrei Alimpiev, who is suspected of embezzling budget funds. About this on his page in Facebook wrote lawyer A. Alimpieva Maxim Zhuravlev, reports the Main with reference to UNN.

"By the decision of the Dzerzhinsky District Court, Mr.. Kharkov petition of the prosecutor on the dismissal of Major-General Alimpiev A. left without consideration, "- wrote a lawyer.

He noted that in this way A. Alimpiev will continue to perform the duties of the rector of the KNU VS and the head of the Kharkov military garrison.

Alimpiev was detained on November 17 by the military prosecutor's office on suspicion of embezzling 2.4 million UAH in favor of two LLCs in the purchase of fuel. Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kharkov elected him a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to make 1.5 million UAH of collateral.
