As a result of the fire, a man was killed. According to the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies, rescuers received information about the fire around four o'clock in the afternoon.

Local residents of the village of Kamenka in the Popelnyansky district reported that a fire broke out in a private brick apartment building. The smoke coming out of the building was seen by neighbors and phoned the fire department.

Already at the scene of the incident, the employees of the State Emergency Service, found that the fire was in one of the living rooms of the house, and in the yard near the front door of the house rescuers found the body of the 44-year-old owner of the house without signs of life. As it turned out, before the arrival of the operational-rescue unit, the father of the deceased came to visit his son and found him on a burning bed.

He also carried the body of the deceased to the street.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire rescuers call negligence during the smoking of the owner of the dwelling.
