Flood in the Greek capital killed more than 15 people

According to the Greek rescue services, at least ten men and four women were killed. At the same time, 11 people were killed in the town of Mandra. Two more caught in the sea - they were washed away by a stream of water.

In addition, 13 people were injured of varying severity.

It is noteworthy that the flood in the western vicinities of Athens was caused by a storm that lasted the whole previous night.

Flooded were hundreds of houses, roads and businesses.

On the eve of the Greek authorities declared a state of emergency on the small island of Simi in the Aegean Sea, where the rains flooded homes, shops and a power station and washed away vehicles in the sea.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, in Vietnam, where rainy rains have been raging for a week, there was a flood. As a result of the disaster in some areas, landslides that killed 37 people. Another 40 people disappeared without a trace.
