Number of victims of the earthquake in Iran increased to 445 people

As of Tuesday morning, November 14, in the province of Kermanshah 445 people were found dead. More than seven thousand people were injured.

According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the provincial authorities announced a three-day mourning for the dead. Governor of the region Hushang Bazvand in a telephone conversation with the President of the country Hassan Rouhani expressed concern that the number of victims can grow.

Local authorities also report that access to rural areas is still limited, in many places there is no electricity, and rescuers continue to search for survivors under the rubble of buildings.

At the same time, the head of the Kermanshah police, General Manusher Amanollahi assured that the population is safe in the region of the disaster, and all roads to the province are open and traffic is at a normal level.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, November 12 in the western regions of Iran and eastern Iraq there was a powerful earthquake, the greatest damage was inflicted by the Iranian province of Kermanshah. The earthquake strength was 7.3 on the Richter scale.
