On Friday at 3:39 local time in the Vladimir region near the Pokrov station on a regulated move in the Vladimir region there was a collision of a Mercedes-Benz passenger bus O 303 and an early train message St. Petersburg-Nizhny Novgorod.

The bus with the Kazakhstan numbers in the cabin of which there were about 60 people (citizens of Uzbekistan), decayed at the crossing due to engine breakdown. Most of the passengers slept. Those who managed to wake up, tried to push the bus before the approaching train, but could not. The duty officer transferred the signal from the crossing, but it is not easy to slow the fast train. The braking distance was more than 700 meters, the braking began 400 meters before the collision. The bus from the impact literally ripped and dragged more than 300 meters.

The death toll is called from 17 to 21 people. Among the dead there are three children. Another 34 people were injured, some in critical condition. Several people were hospitalized in Vladimir's hospitals. Five people are placed in the intensive care unit, their condition is assessed by doctors as heavy and extremely difficult. Doctors of Vladimir are doing everything to save two young children.

The survivors of the bus are accommodated at the temporary accommodation facility, doctors and psychologists work with them. The bodies of the deceased are being identified.

On the site there are 52 people with the support of 19 units of equipment. By lunchtime, traffic on the railway section was restored.

On the fact of the collision, a pre-investigation check has been started.

Interregional management of the TFR in transport instituted a criminal case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of the rules for the safety of traffic and the operation of transport, which caused by accident the death of two or more persons".

At the time of the bus stop at the crossing, an alarm system operated. Moving is equipped with light, sound alarm and barrier. Buses of this type were produced in Germany until 1993, that is, the vehicle is not less than 24 years old, it has long worked out its resource. The bus was on the move, as I was driving around the cork on the M7.
