The accident occurred on the night of Wednesday, October 4, at the station Achinsk-1. Four wagons loaded with coal train descended from the tracks at about 02:10 (Moscow time). As a result of the incident, the railway tracks were damaged, which led to the delay of four passenger trains and two electric trains. Now the workers are repairing the way, repair stations from the stations Achinsk and Mariinsk are connected to the scene of the incident.

As reported by RIA FAN referring to the press service of the Krasnoyarsk Railways (KrasJD), because of the accident, the passenger train that followed the Moscow-Neryungri flight was forced to stand at the station for more than five hours. It is reported that passengers were fed dry rations and provided with drinking water.

The press service of the Krasnoyarsk office of the Investigative Committee on Transport reported that a pre-investigation check is carried out on this fact, during which investigators will calculate the damage caused, as well as find out all the circumstances of what happened.
