On Nov. 23 at Novomichurinsk at Ryazan state district power station there was an explosion. He got into the lenses of the CCTV cameras: a fireball rose above the building of the coal mill of the boiler and turbine shop. Then it turned into a cloud of burning debris that slowly settled.

As a result of the explosion, windows were damaged on an area of ??200 square meters and 30 square meters of the wall fence of the facility, the bearing structures and equipment of the damage workshop were not received. The incident did not affect the operation of the power plant. Two workers of GRES were injured during the explosion. One received burns 20% of the body, he was hospitalized. The second after the medical help was sent home.

The explosion occurred at the first power unit. The power unit according to the schedule was displayed in the current repair. Explosion of coal-air mixture occurred when the boiler was cut off. Then there was a smoldering of coal dust.

Elimination of the consequences of the explosion involved 15 firefighters with the support of 5 units of equipment.

On the fact of the explosion, an investigation is being conducted, a headquarters for the restoration of the damaged power unit.
