On Friday in the Kaliningrad region, with a frontal collision of a minibus and a Meresedes jeep, seven people were killed, eight more were injured of varying severity. Driver, wife and owner of foreign cars did not suffer. Among the victims, a ten-year-old daughter of a jeep driver. She is in a state of moderate severity, delivered to the Children's Regional Hospital. Adult victims of the minibus were taken to the Emergency Hospital of Kaliningrad, one to the hospital in Gvardeysk.

In the 18-person minivan at the time of the collision there were 14 people. The minibus was traveling from Kaliningrad to the region, performing the "left" flight. The cause of the collision was the departure of one of the cars to the oncoming lane. The alleged culprit of an accident - an SUV driver who chose an unsafe high-speed regime, was detained and placed in a temporary detention center. The actions of a 34-year-old resident of Kaliningrad (an SUV driver) were qualified under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules, which caused the death of two or more persons". The maximum punishment under this article provides up to 7 years of imprisonment.
