The accident in the city center paralyzed the tram traffic towards the main building of the Ural Federal University. For more than an hour the cars stood on the tramway, waiting for the arrival of traffic police officers.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver Daewoo Nexia was driving from the center in an easterly direction along the tram ways. Along the way, the red Toyota Auris was moving with it, which made a maneuver unexpected for the driver Nexia with a turn to the left. As a result, cars collided and cost "little blood": none of the drivers, passengers and pedestrians were injured, both cars received small dents from the collision.

Already after the first collision Daewoo continued to move and crashed into a parked in an unauthorized place Honda Civic.
