Two ex-presidents of Brazil accused of creating a criminal organization

This was stated to all by Brazil's Attorney General Rodrigo Janot, the German edition of Deutsche Welle.

According to him, charges were also brought against six more members of the Workers' Party of Brazil. Also, Jean stressed that the accused committed a number of crimes related to the state oil company Petrobras, including corruption and money-laundering.

At the moment, the relevant lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court of Brazil.



The suit, in particular, claims that the two former leaders of the country were closely involved in the corruption scandal surrounding the receipt by the Workers' Party, of which they are members, bribes of hundreds of millions of dollars during the years in power.

The Attorney General also added that these crimes were committed from 2002 to mid-2016.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform", the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine initiated a case on the fact of anticompetitive concerted actions in the market of liquefied gas.
