The fire occurred on the evening of Sunday, September 3. Eyewitnesses report sulfuric smoke clouds over the plant.

According to the AP, a fire broke out at the plant, which was flooded due to Hurricane Harvey. At the moment, whether the fire is completely eliminated at the moment, is not yet specified.

Recall that on Thursday in the plant there was a fire and explosions, in connection with which was carried out evacuation of personnel and local residents within a radius of 2.4 kilometers from the facility.

As reported URA-Inform, the primary explosion in the plant was due to the failure of one of the nine cooling containers in which there was an organic peroxide.
