"An explosion or a fire can not be prevented," warned the CEO of Arkema, Rich Row, a few hours before the incident.

Employees of the company warned that organic peroxides and other chemicals are stored in several rooms in the plant's territory, therefore it is impossible to exclude the following explosions. According to them, it is best not to try to extinguish fires now, but to allow the chemicals to completely burn out.
