"On Wednesday, August 9, employees of the Cherkasy Local Prosecutor's Office, together with employees of the National Police in the Cherkassy region, carried out an authorized search in the home of a resident of Cherkassy," the prosecutor's office.

During the search of the law enforcement officer, they found and seized "about 300 liters of opium extraction, more than one kilogram of poppy straw, large quantities of acetylated opium and equipment adapted for the manufacture and use of narcotic drugs".

The detainee was charged with a criminal offense for h. 2 items. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces imprisonment for a term of six to ten years with confiscation of property.
