Lozovskaya local prosecutor's office confirmed the suspicion of the 54-year-old director of one of the professional lyceums of the Kharkov region on the fact of appropriation of property by abuse of official position committed in large amounts (h. 4 items. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As the deputy head of the local prosecutor's office Valery Naumenko said, it is established that the employee appropriated a part of the sunflower crop of 2016 that belonged to the lyceum and was collected on the fields of the educational institution.

According to preliminary data, the weight of the given crop is more than 46 tons. Cost - almost 430 thousand. UAH.

"In addition, the prosecutor's office sent a request to the Lozovskaya regional district court to remove the suspect from his post and to elect him a preventive measure in the form of detention," Naumenko said..
