In the west of Moscow near the house number 5 on the street Bozhenko as a result of cotton gas-air mixture in the collector suffered employees Mosstroy.

Five died, another seriously injured. All of them were in the sewage collector during cotton. It became known that two of the dead were citizens of Ukraine, two were citizens of Kyrgyzstan and one was Russian. Methane emissions occurred when six workers pumped water.

There was a leak from a gas cylinder for welding, a gas-air mixture with a high concentration of methane. Emergency services worked at the scene.

A pre-investigation investigation into the death of people was started. The basic version - non-observance of safety precautions at manufacture of works. A criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Violation of safety rules in the conduct of construction and other works".
