A resident of Crimea was charged with a murder committed more than 20 years ago, Mediason said with reference to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to the UK, on ??the evening of August 22, 1996 on the Black Sea coast near the city of Kerch in the water found the body of a 32-year-old woman tied to the anchor. Law enforcement bodies of Ukraine did not involve the person involved in the murder in criminal proceedings.

In 2014, after the annexation of the Crimea, the UK instituted proceedings on part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). Investigators managed to identify the person involved in the murder.

According to the investigation, in August 1996 the victim rested with friends on the beach. Between the woman and the accused there was a conflict and the man strangled her, then tied her anchor to her leg and threw the body into the sea.

Now the man is charged, he confessed his guilt completely.
