A couple from North Carolina Tiffany and James Johnson went on vacation to the Bahamas and during a scuba dive on a reef, they suddenly encountered a shark that bit off a woman's right arm.

At the same time, Tiffany admitted that she did not feel much pain, and she did not immediately understand what had happened, writes forumdaily with reference to Fox News.

"I was not hurt, I just thought that I came across something, so I turned right to look, and was" face to face "with the shark," - said a woman.

She saw the animal's mouth contract around her arm, a fight began between them and within a few minutes the woman lost her hand.

"I kept trying to pull my hand out, and the last time I tugged it, the shark took a bite and the fight stopped," said Johnson.

Hearing a cry, her husband hurried to the aid of Tifani. Doctors in the Bahamas stopped bleeding on his hand, her return to the US was paid by an insurance company.

In the near future, Johnson will undergo an operation to prepare the arm for fitting the prosthesis.
