As a result of the accident that occurred on Monday evening, June 5, a 31-year-old man and his one and half year old son were killed. As the press service of the police of Zhytomyr region informs, the traffic accident occurred after ten o'clock in the evening on Grushevskogo Street.

The police found that the driver of the car "VAZ-2105", moving towards the city center, did not choose a safe speed and drove a man with a child in his arms, who crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing. Ambulance was taken to hospital, but they were not rescued. From the received traumas both have died in an ambulance carriage.

At the same time, the culprit of the tragedy, without stopping the car, disappeared from the scene.

Law enforcers opened a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of vehicles by persons who drive vehicles.

At the moment, the police have already tracked down the vehicle in one of the courtyards of the district center. Now the identity of the driver of a car is set, which faces a sentence of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
