Hurricane in Moscow can be considered one of the signs of the onset of a new ice age. According to Vladimir Melnikov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the scientific leader of the Chair of Cryosophy of the Tyumen State University, the next 35 years the Earth will have a cold cycle.
The scientist explained to "EADaily" that our planet is now going through a transition period from one state to another - we live interglacial, until the new glacial period remains about a thousand years.
The Earth enters a cold 35-year cycle during which sharp climatic changes are quite probable, considers Melnikov. What happened in Moscow is a rare phenomenon in air currents and confirms the movement of the planet to a cold cycle, the academician is sure.
