On May 24, the marine diving ship of the Ukrainian fleet U700 Neteshin caught fire on the repair site of the Black Sea Shipyard in Nikolaev. This was reported by the local Niqwesti edition, publishing a short video, which shows the smoke in the dock.

"At the moment five crews of rescuers are extinguishing the fire," the source said..

As specified, the ship caught fire when performing fire operations, that is, when replacing the metal using an open flame.



It is reported that the plant received a contract worth about 6 million hryvnia for docking the ship: replacing the metal shells of the external hull, repairing the helm-steering complex, bottom-side reinforcement, cleaning, painting and a number of other works that can not be performed afloat.

Displacement U700 standard - 279 tons, full - 298 tons. The length of the ship is 40.9 meters, the width is 8.1 meters, the draft is 2.07 meters. Crew - 24 people.
