In Germany, the Strong Europe Tank Challenge 2017 (tank biathlon). As reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the winners were Austrian tankmen on Leopard 2A4 cars, the second place was occupied by German soldiers (Leopard 2A6), the third - American (Abrams M1A2 SEP).

Ukrainians on the T-64BV, who took part in the competition for the first time, finished in the penultimate, fifth place, having beaten the Poles. The military department noted that Ukrainian servicemen entered the top three in shooting a standard projectile.

"Ukrainian soldiers are the only among the participants of the competition who have a real, real combat experience against enemy tanks. Everyone listens to their experience, "said Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe.

A platoon from the 14th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces in three modernized T-64BV. The vehicles were specially prepared at the Kharkov Armored Factory. They installed thermal imagers for all crew members, digital radio stations Lybid K-2RB, as well as satellite navigation.
