Today at about 3 am during patrols of Kharkov, police noticed a Toyota Camry, which, before the eyes of law enforcement officers, flew into the post on the Defenders of Ukraine Square and continued to move. Noticing the patrol "on the tail" the driver pressed the accelerator and began to run away. The vehicle was stopped only by the patrol at the crossroads of the Armenian and Kostyurinsky side streets.
"Law enforcers found out that behind the wheel of Toyota Camry was a 43-year-old driver who had obvious signs of alcoholic intoxication: the smell of alcohol, fuzzy speech, a shaky walk, behavior that did not match the situation," the patrol. Now the driver of Toyota Camry for the traffic accident, leaving the place of an accident and refusal to undergo medical examination faces administrative liability in the form of a fine and deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one year.
