The Basmanny court passed a decision on the measure of restraint for the detainee on suspicion of involvement in the preparation of the explosion in the metro of St. Petersburg Abrora Azimova. He is arrested. Prior to the meeting, his lawyer stated that the defendant had confessed his guilt "in full".

But, according to RIA Novosti, while giving testimony in court, Azimov stated that his participation was indirect and he did not realize that his actions help the commission of the terrorist act. According to him, he only performed the command given to him, but what it was given and what exactly it was, he did not specify.

The investigation petitioned Azimov's arrest until June 3, insisting that there was every reason to believe that he was involved in the explosion, which also follows from the evidence given to him the day before, in which he told about his role in the crime. Abror Azimov is suspected of the "b" part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act that caused death of a person) and part 2 of Article 222. 1 of the Criminal Code (illegal circulation of explosives committed by a group of persons). When he was detained, a pistol and two telephones were withdrawn from him, one of which, according to the investigation version, immediately before the explosion, called the "explosive" Jalilov.

Actually, the detainee himself did not object to the arrest, Medzizona reports, which was reporting from the Basmanny Court Hall. Asked whether he understands what is at issue, the detainee clearly replied: "Yes".

The publication described Azimov as a short young man of Central Asian appearance. He answered very unintelligible questions, but despite the presence of an interpreter, he preferred to speak Russian, although he made many mistakes.

The detainee was born in the Kyrgyz Jalal-Abad, but has Russian citizenship. Azimov graduated seven classes, currently he does not work, he is married, he has one child. In Moscow, registered in a house on Vladimirskaya Street, but actually lived in the village of Lesnoy Gorodok in Odintsovo District. We do not judge before.

According to "Fontanka", having already received a Russian passport in 2016, Azimov twice traveled to Turkey. At the same time, he chose a very unusual route - he flew from Moscow to Istanbul, and returned back via Seoul and Vladivostok. The last time he traveled, according to the publication, in October 2016.

In law enforcement agencies believe that it was Azimov preparing Jalilov, who exploded a bomb in the subway. True, the official statement of the IC of the RF says that "he is an accomplice in the crime, his role is established".

Abror Azimov detained in Odintsovo district near Moscow on April 17. The investigation says that the search for those involved in the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg subway continues.
