Law enforcement officers detained a man who, according to the investigation, killed a woman in the Kyiv region. During the conflict, the attacker hit the pensioner on the head with a hammer, then with a knife in the neck, as a result of which the latter died.

This was reported in the press service of the police of the Kiev region. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.

According to law enforcement officers, the event occurred in the Rokitnyansky community of the Kyiv region. A man who came to his sister home turned to the doctors and found her body with traces of violent death on the threshold of the house.

As noted in the police, the alleged 54-year-old attacker was found and detained at the station of Kyiv, where he was hiding.

“The man explained that the conflict between him and the 82-year-old deceased occurred due to the woman’s refusal to treat him with alcohol. The offender hit the victim with the stupid part of the hammer on the head, and after she fell, he stabbed two blows in the neck, ”the press service said.

Criminal proceedings were initiated on the fact of premeditated murder, and the detainee was informed of suspicion. The court chose him a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
