Police found at the station in the town of Elizabeth, New Jersey, backpack with five improvised explosive devices, news agencies reported.

One of the homemade bombs worked on trying to defuse. The engineers used a remote-controlled robot, so that the victims and survivors were not. The explosion occurred at a time when the robot tried to cut one of the wires.

Mayor Christian Bollueydzh told reporters that a suspicious bag was lying next to the urn between the station and bar. He did not rule out that the owner was carrying a backpack bomb in another place and just decided to get rid of them, when he saw the police.

According Bollueydzha, in the case if all five bombs simultaneously exploded in a crowded place, the number of victims would have been very high. NBC's claims that the results are similar bomb exploded in Manhattan, but it is not officially confirmed.
